Google e Nofollow step by step

<meta name="robots" content="nofollow" />

X-Robots-Tag: nofollow
<?php header("X-Robots-Tag: nofollow", true); ?>

<FilesMatch "nomefile.html">
Header set X-Robots-Tag "nofollow"
</FilesMatch>

<FilesMatch ".(html|asp)$">
Header set X-Robots-Tag "nofollow"
</FilesMatch>

**

Information about buying and selling links that pass PageRank

4 Marzo 2009 - Two Questions about nofollow
**1 - Do you feel that the widespread and blanket use of nofollow tags is devaluing Google's search algorithms? Examples such as Wikipedia, where ALL external links are nofollow. Does Wikipedia mean nothing to Google's algorithms?
2 - Do Google take into account quality factors from nofollowed links when the links come from well established authority websites, such as Wikipedia?

**1 Maggio 2009 - ****Should I use nofollow in links to my disclaimer and privacy policy?
**Is it a good thing to put 'nofollow' in links to a disclaimer, privacy statement and other pages like that with the internal PageRank in mind? I hear different stories about this.

**4 Novembre 2009 - Can I use nofollow in Javascript?
**What's the nofollow equivalent for JavaScript links/redirections (now that you follow those too)?

**
10 Febbraio 2010 - Are Nofollow Links Irrelevant?
**Dan from Bucharest asks: "Are nofollow links worth getting? Or are they almost irrelevant?"

24 Febbraio 2011** - How does Google treat sites where all external links are no-follow?
**How does Google treat sites where all external links are no-follow? I understand the purpose of no-follow is for webmasters to indicate which links are paid, but when sites like Wikipedia make EVERY outbound link no-follow, that defeats the purpose.

**
7 Marzo 2011 - Will Google penalize sites which only link using the nofollow attribute?
**As many webmasters are linking only in nofollow killing the natural way of links do you think Google will penalize people who only link out with nofollow attribute in the future? Johan Tavard, Hua Hin, Thailand

**16 Marzo 2011 - **At what level is nofollow honored?
I didn't get to go to PubCon this year, but heard that if there was at least one unfollowed link in a webpage, all links were considered unfollow?

**25 Maggio 2011 - Should I add nofollow to banner ads?
**If someone buys a text link from my website I add the nofollow tag so you know it's a paid link. Should I do the same for banner images also?

**12 Agosto 2013 - ****Should I add rel="nofollow" to links that are included with my widget?
**What should we do with embeddable codes in things like widgets and infographics? Should we include the rel="nofollow" by default? Advert the user that the code includes a link and give him the option of not including it?

9 Settembre 2013 - Can Nofollow links hurt my site's ranking?
I'm building links, not for SEO but to try and generate direct traffic, if these links are no-follow am I safe from getting any Google penalties? Asked another way, can no-follow links hurt my site?

**30 Settembre 2013 - Should I use rel="nofollow" on internal links to a login page?
**Does it make sense to use rel="nofollow" for internal links? Like, for example, to link to your login page? Does it really make a difference?

**17 Dicembre 2012 - ****What is Google's thinking about links from article marketing, widgets, etc?
**
Dove Matt dice tra le altre cose:

Whenever you get a link from just a word press footer or just a random footer or, you know, when someone installs a widget or they install some theme on their content management system, it’s often the case that they’re not editorially choosing to link with that anchor text.
